Expected Wins power rankings through week 9
Week 9 saw a ton of low scoring games, with the number one and number two highest scoring teams only scoring 86 and 84 respectively. Of course, they played each other and of course, the Bluecats couldn’t come out on top in a close one yet again.
Thanks to that, Week 9 saw a new leader in expected wins, Alex’s Kraken at 5.7. Yet he still sits 1 game back the Supermarket Studs who dropped from first to third in this weeks rankings. Jeff’s Slugs moved up to 5.6 expected wins putting them in 2nd and SWAB rounds out our top 4 with 5.1 expected wins. The Unlucky Ducks win over the dreadful Warriors improved their wins versus expected to now only -2.8 a full 0.9 expected win increase from last week. This is because the Ducks put up just 60 points and still came away with the win. Maybe a name change is in order to the lucky ducks?
Speaking of luck, Scott’s Titans sits at just 4 expected wins, but have 6 wins on the season and are the luckiest team thus far thanks to expected wins. The ENTIRE GLUM DIVISION sits at the bottom of our expected wins rankings. Something tells me our future KFL champ will still somehow emerge from the Glum division.

Standings through Week 9
Through Week 9 the Supermarket Studs lead narrows to 1 game with both the Kraken and Tenderloin’s improving to 5-4. Meanwhile, the Slugs move out to sole first place lead at 7-2 with SWAB falling again. The Bluecat’s just can’t string a streak together and their loss puts them at 4-5. Finally, in the Glum division, the Titan’s improve to 6-3 with a commanding division lead. The Onionheads and GMO now both sit at 4-5 and the Warriors enjoy the basement once again at 2-7. This is your week 9 KFL wrap up. Enjoy your football.
